Pending league approval, the Deadwood Outlaws have traded 1B prospect Glenn
Criger, 19 to Washington for former Outlaw 3B John Aust, 23.
Aust was an Outlaw for a short period of time a few years ago before being
traded to Galena for God knows what.
Aust will report to Deadwood for evaluation before being reasigned to one of
the club's minor league teams.
In 63 major league games, Aust has hit just .223 with 4 HR and 17 RBI.
However at just 23 years of age, he is expected to become a fine major league
hitter.
Criger was selected by Deadwood in June's supplemental draft, which was held
after the Amateur Draft. At 19, he's still a few years from being ready for
the majors, and was considered expendable.
