There is never a good time for injuries, but the worst
time for the injury bug to hit is when there are 9
games to go, and your team is scrapping to make the
playoffs.
Pat Hentgen, arguably the Mustangs' best pitcher this
year, will miss the remainder of the season with a
pinched nerve.
"Aw, for Pete's sake!, "lamented Mustang owner Randy
Reese, " We have 9 games to go, we are 1.5 games out
of first, and only 4 ahead in the wild card race. This
was a bad time for this to happen."
Instead of going to a 4 man rotation, the Mustangs
have called up 25 year old Jim Rolling to take
Hentgen's place in the rotation.
" We'll see.....Jim has played well at Triple A
Kuckville. Now is his chance to shine in the big leagues!"
