Mustangs Inch Closer To Playoff Berth
September 21, 2001
Medina(AP)- The Medina Mustangs, the worst team in the
PVBL over the last two seasons, have turned it around
180 degrees this year. With 10 games left in the
season, the Mustangs are currently 5 games in front of
the wild card race. More importantly, they are just
two games behind Kirk Division leader New Diggens.
"It's not going to be easy," said Mustang's owner
Randy Reese, " We have another game with Motor City,
three games left with Tijuana, and SIX games left
against the EL's best team, the Galena Hamsters."
Not being easy is an understatement, as Galena is
currently riding a nine game winning streak.
"We have to play our best ball," said Mustang catcher
Mike Piazza, " We cant let down at all."
