GM Lund Takes Masochistic Approach to PVBL
August 15, 2001
Local sources released the name of the winner in the Detroit franchise
bidding war earlier today, ex GM and PVBLer Andy Lund. One of the original
owners in PVBL history, Lund went through years and years of hardships in
Minnesota, losing numerous games, trading big names such as Alex Rodriguez,
Frank Thomas and Jeff Hallony. The experience would appear as being
negative in most eyes, fortunately not for Detroit's newest owner. "I
suppose you believe Mr. Peck's story of me missing a deadline and losing my
franchise, by the way Matt I'm still waiting for my check for the Mudhounds
sale. But the truth of the matter is, I love pain, I love hardships, I like
to lose. Why else would I be in Minnesota, why else would I buy the Tigers?
I didn't leave Brownsville because I had to, I left because these young
screwups I traded my all stars away for, started to improve and show
promise. Hell if I'm going to be responsible for a contender, so I bailed
and became an owned in arena football." When asked on why he returned to
the PVBL, Lund replied, "I just couldn't pass these losers up, what a sorry
team. Plus I get to be in the same division as the Hamsters... I good
spanking is in my future, GOD IT'S GREAT TO BE AN OWNER AGAIN!!!!" Once GM
Lund calmed down, he was asked about his status as a PVBL owner, "I was an
ass, and it felt bad so I guess I'll just be an ass again.... by the way the
whole roster is up for trade, everyone. I have no loyalty, I haven't even
met the guys, except Jaha and Brown. I sent Jaha packin' once, I'm looking
forward to doing it again." Lund predicts a near last finish this season,
claiming he "isn't a messiah, just a bean lover" "oh how I love beans, I
lost a lot of money owning the Minnesota Fighting Pike so I lived off Pork
n' Beans.... I like them... a lot." "In my losses with arena ball, I had
to sellout to 'Boston Beans' an east coast favorite in bean products.
They're making me name the team the Beaners, and I'm going to Boston.... I
have nothing more to say...."
