Washington Decries Thoughts Of Violence August 31, 2000
(AP) MISSISSAUGA--In a release sent out by Washington owner Aaron Weiner
today, the Sea Dogs CEO scoffed at the idea of violence resulting from his
endorsed bail bond to free the Deadwood franchise from their jail
sentence.
The release was directed at comments made by Mississauga owner Jesse
Gouldson yesterday about Washington's act of kindness. In the release,
Weiner said the Mets Militia had caused no violence since last year, and
Washington felt that their actions would cause no harm.
Weiner said in the release that the paying of the bond was a loan, and not
a gift as was previously reported. Deadwood is one of the poorest
franchises in baseball, and WAshington one of the wealthiest.
Weiner said he has every confidence of winning the lawsuit against the
Canadian government as Maple Cookie fuel is approved in all 50 states and
Canada as a dandruff shampoo ingredient. The illegal substance is
indigestible when added to shampoo and causes no harm to sea life.
