Washington Bails Deadwood out of Jail August 28, 2000
(AP) WASHINGTON--In yet another show of altruism by Washington owner Aaron
Weiner, the $55 million dollar bail set by Judge Whapyer of Missassauga
has been paid in full, the AP has reported.
Weiner plans to sue the township of Missassauga, the province of
Ontario, the Canadian government and the St. Lawrence River for false
arrest, cruel and unusual punishment, and making asses of themselves.
Weiner said that he does not believe he can defeat the river, whose only
comments so far have been inaudible gurgles, but is confident that his
money will be returned. Weiner plans to use the gurgles in evidence.
The Canadian government, government of Ontario and Missassagua city
council had no comment.
Deadwood's baseball club had been incarcerated for possession of a
dandruff shampoo. Weiner had no comment, but said he planned to indict
the river for aiding the dandruff and also concealment of evidence.
