Deadwood Getting ready for Off Season September 21, 2000
With the season winding down, Outlaw GM Philip Raisor is trying to decide
what will happen for Deadwood in the off season. It's clear that the team
will need starting pitching, and with top two picks in both the Free Agent
Draft and the Free Agent Plan, the future looks good for the club.
The club will be looking for a legit number one starter once the free agent
signing period begins, as currently only RHP Frank Callahan is assured a
spot in the rotation. So says Raisor, "We've got to get a guy that can
throw 230 innings to take some pressure off of our pen. We don't know who
will be unprotected yet, but rest assured, we're going to get someone
good."
