Former World Series winning manager Don Slaught has been rehired by the
Outlaws to serve as Special Assistant to the General Manager for the rest of
the 2000 season. Following the season, it is expected that field manager
Johnny Bench will step down as manager and be replaced by Slaught.
The Outlaws will compensate Moncton with it's third round pick in the 2001
Amateur Draft.
