Outlaws Make Massive Pitching Changes June 24, 2000
The Deadwood Outlaws, with a league high 6.84 ERA, made wholesale changes in
it's pitching staff. Banished to AAA Dodge City are: Rick Aguleria, Mark
Leiter (both of whom may be released soon), Felipe Lira, Chan Ho Park, and
Jose Rijo. Park and Lira are youngsters, and are being sent down to work on
mechanics with minor league pitching coach Gaylord Perry.
Brought up to take the open roster spots are Wally Beville, Bob Brooks, Jim
Harman, Scott Hayes, and Dick Duncan. Brooks and Harman will take rotation
spots for the time being, while the rest will fill out the bullpen.
