PVBL: Deadwood Outlaws
Dashiell Out With Injury

June 18, 2000

-RF Mike Dashiell, who homered in his first major league at bat yesterday, will be out for 2-3 months with a torn hamstring. Dashiell injured the hamstring while warming up before today's loss to Montreal.

Dashiell is expected to return in time for the September call ups.

To replace Dashiell on the roster, the Outlaws have offered former Outlaw Kevin Mitchell a half-season contract. Mitchell's agent is considering the offer. Hall Black and Chris Gomez are expected to get most of the playing time in place of Dashiell.

-2B Deivi Cruz is suffering from a stiff knee, but shouldn't miss any time.

-LHP Norm Charlton is expected back from the disabled list in 2-4 weeks and is expected to be showcased for a possible trade.
