PVBL: Mississauga Maple Dogs
Mississauga Pitching Dominates Opponents!

April 9, 2000

The Mississauga MapleDogs are 4-0 in this short season. They are one of only 3 undeafeated teams left in the PVBL, joining Pheonix and Punxatawney. The one thing that has set them apart? Pitching.

While the league's pitching has excelled, the MapleDogs are leading the way. In a 3-game series with the Kirk division champions, Motor City, the MapleDogs won by scores of 3-0, 2-0 and 3-0. That means they shut out one of the PVBL's most potent offenses for 27 straight innings.

Their next series is against Tijuana and they already shut them out 1-0 in their first game. This has been the MapleDogs team pitching stats so far:
W L PCT ERA IP H HR BB SO QS CG SO
Mississauga 4 0 1.000 .00 36.0 15 0 11 37 4 1 4

"I know this won't continue, but it's nice to talk have it for a while, at least." said GM Gouldson. "Hopefully Arrojo will turn around this season, and if his first start showed anything, then it looks like he'll be a force this season."
