Missisauga Ready to Rock

The Mississauga MapleDogs are ready to play hard ball. "Last year we missed the wildcard by only 4 games. I think if Brown hadn't gone down we really could've made it. Hell, he still won the Cy Young!" team owner/GM Jesse Gouldson had to say.

"I don't really give a $h!t about the Cy Young. I went down when my team needed it most. This year I won't be happy unless we get to the playoffs." Brown told reporters.

Player/Manager F.P. Santangelo released the opening day roster and lineups today. "We had a great training camp and some of our youngsters really showed what they were made of."

The MapleDogs also boast perhaps the most fearsome lineup in the league. They might be a little slow but they don't have to run fast when they hit like they do.

Word is that Gouldson has been shopping around Dean Palmer to make room for the very promising Troy Glaus. "Glaus is a better fielder and will soon be a better hitter. I just have to decide what will make our club better." Gouldson said.

Obviously pitching will be needed. The Dogs have a strong rotation but could always use another good starter, or a bullpen ace. Their staff is a little long in tooth.
