certainly thinks so. After trading the #2 pick for Millwood, he drafted
LF Chad Hermensen with the 1st overall pick. The Blazers had their eye
on C Sparrow Hostetler, and had hoped that he would be overlooked until
the 3rd round. However, Mississauga GM Jesse Gouldson drafted him in the
middle of the 1st round. Ten minutes later, he had been traded to
Kamloops for 19 year old speedster Johnny Damon. With their 3rd round
pick, the Blazers selected LF Shane Walters. A kid with great speed who
will hopefully develop a great bat after a few years in the minors.
