PVBL: Edmonton Sled Dogs
Royals Inch Closer

September 19, 2000

Edmonton(AP)-The Slide continues. The Sled Dogs have now lost 5 in a row, and were swept by The Royals 4 straight in their own Park."Wow, that Club is red hot. Theres 12 games to go and we've got 3 in Montreal next week. That Series will decide the winner of the Mccoy Division no doubt." uttered a dejected Alan Trammell. The Sled Dogs offense continues to deteriorate. ss Alex Rodriguez has been playing the past month with a bruised heel that won't heal."With the Royals coming on strong, we just couldn't afford to sit A-Rod out." The fans in Edmonton are starting to worry. A here-we-go-again attitude is starting to form, after watching the Sled Dogs blow the Division lead last season to Deadwood. Will we see a repeat again? If, so, expect GM Sculac to make plenty of changes next season, starting with the pitching staff, which has been working miracles for the first half of the season. Belcher, Finley, Rosado and Schourek have all looked average down the stretch."Geez, you Media guys have us dead already. We are still in 1st place last time I looked!!" screamed GM Sculac, followed by a profanity ridden tirade. Trouble in E-town?
