Edmonton(AP)- It seems the Sled Dogs didn't learn from last years season
ending choke-fest. The Sled Dogs were in 1st 3/4 of last year only to
see the Deadwood Outlaws overtake them. Now, what seemed like a
comfortable lead(at one time 15 games)has dwindled to just 6. The Royals
took a twi-night doubleheader in Edmonton last night by scores of 4-3
and 8-1. GM Sculac was unavailable for comment last night. "Yeah, we've
tried to make these guys forget about last year,"stated Manager Alan
Trammell, "but we haven't played well in the 2nd half. Our pitching has
been average and our hitting has been a disappointment. With 14 games to
go, we have to play at least .500 ball, but I know this Teams a lot
better than we've shown. And, hey, give the Royals credit. They're a
good Ball Club."
