PVBL: Edmonton Sled Dogs
Sled Dogs Climb To #1

July 7, 2000

Edmonton(AP)- The Edmonton Sled Dogs last night won their 10th consecutive game, bombarding the Deadwood Outlaws 19-8. Shortstop Alex Rodriguez went 6 for 6 with 5 RBI's. "A-Rod is the league MVP...no question about it." replied Manager Alan Trammell. "He's been outstanding." The Sled Dogs now have the best winning percentage in the PVBL at .718. "It's amazing. I knew we had a good Ball Club. But this good?" commented a local Sportswriter. "I really thought Manager Sculacs lone acquisition of Pitcher Tim Belcher wasn't going to be good enough for this Team to be a contender. Boy, was I wrong. Belch is pitching like he's 25 not 35."
