PVBL: Edmonton Sled Dogs
Sled Dogs Win 9th In A Row

April 16, 2000

Montreal(AP)-The Edmonton Sled Dogs took a pair of games last night in Montreal by scores of 15-6 and 6-3, to extend their winning streak to 9 games. "I knew we had the offence, but I'm extremely happy with our pitching. The Press in Edmonton ripped GM Sculac about not making any key off-season moves." commented Manager Alan Trammell."The one move he made, acquring veteran Tim Belcher has been huge. Belch, along with Finley, Rosado, Schourek and Frascatore have been brilliant. As I said in the pre-season, we will surprise a lot of people."

Notes:

-2b Joey Cora continues to struggle, hitting just .094, with an OBP of .151. "Joey always starts off slow. I'll wait and see." replied Trammell.

-The Sled Dog offence has been outstanding-
Cruz Jr. .435

Clark .408
Ventura .378
Anderson .370
Rodriguez .356

-rf Vladdie Guerrero is the only player not hitting over .300.
