Sled Dogs Announce Starting Lineup

Edmonton(AP)-The Sled Dogs(formerly the Oil Kings)made only one change in the off-season, acquiring veteran hurler Tim Belcher. "Belch was available and we thought he would fit in as our #4 starter." exclaimed GM Sculac. As usual, Sculac has pretty much stayed pat with the same team that finished last season."I like this Team, I really do.I didn't think we needed to make any major changes. We'll surprise some people this year." He may be right. A better offence is tough to find in the PVBL:

DH Greg Vaughn was shocked at batting 9th in the Lineup."Yeah, it's the first time I've ever batted so low, but hey, look at the guys in front of me.Whew! What a lineup. Bring on the season!" Vaughn also looked better than he has in years, losing 20 pounds in the off-season."I worked my butt off cause I knew that this Team was going places this year. I wanna prove that I can still hit."

The pitching staff also looks great, barring injuries, which decimated the Sled Dogs early last season.
