I, like many of you I'm sure, have been pondering Chameleon owner
Fidler's recent statements. What is behind the insanity of placing
everyone on the trade block?
So this morning when I bumped into him at the Coos Bay Municipal
Airport, I took the oportunity to shout a few questions to him as he
slipped into the security of a waiting limousine.
I inquired about what I had read from the Asociated Press. "Yes," he
said, "everybody is on the block." I continued to question him about
this, stating that he must see some great talent in the upcoming Free
Agent Draft or this summer's amateur draft, to which he replied. "Draft
picks mean nothing to me. I probably won't even attend the FA Draft, as
I have plans to be catching a few waves off the coast that day. I'll
deal them in a minute to any Franchise that wants them."
With several players moving on and draft picks as well perhaps, I can
only say; that if I didn't know better I would think it was July,
because the Carnival is in town.
