Outlaw OF Eric Davis, who is recovering from a broken neck, has been
transfered from the 15-Day disabled list to the 60-day emergency Disabled
List. Davis is expected to officially announce his retirement immediatly
following the World Series. Davis is expected to take a front office
position with the Outlaws after he recovers enough to sit at a desk.
DH Cecil Fielder is recovering nicely from his back injury, and should be
ready for Spring Training.
Both Davis and Fielder were injured during an attack by Canadain Nationals,
which almost sparked a border war between the United States and Canada. The
"hitmen" were arrested by Duluth, MN police, and are awaiting trial.
Canadian officials are reportedly asking US Secretary of State Albright to
free the prisioners in exchange for 25 kegs of beer.
