Outlaws Magic Number Stays At One September 28, 1999
The Montreal Royals have stayed alive in the McCoy Division race with a 5-4
win over the Outlaws. Juan Samuel blasted two homers off of Outlaw starter
Mark Leiter (6-6) in the victory.
With five games remaining, the Outlaws still have a five game lead on the
Royals, who will have to win all their remaining games and hope that the
Outlaws lose all five to force a one game playoff.
The Outlaws, who have been playing it's backup players the last handfull of
games, will start it's regulars in an attempt to win the division outright.
