Deadwood Trades Away Future for Today August 31, 1999
Pending league approval, the Deadwood Outlaws have traded RHP Hank Gill and
Four First round draft picks (1999 FA Draft, 2000 FA Draft pick, 2000 Ammy
pick, 2001 draft pick) to Washington for RF Tim Salmon. Outlaws GM Phil
Raisor was quite happy with the deal. "Salmon has come on strong recently,
and has a TON of power. Yes we gave up alot of our future, some will say
too much, but you never know, the Earth may explode before those draft picks
every happen."
Salmon joins an already explosive Outlaw lineup:
1. Roberto Alomar 2B
2. Steve Finley CF
3. Brad Fullmer DH
4. Rafael Palmerio 1B
5. Travis Fryman SS
6. Scott Brosius 3B
7. TIM SALMON RF
8. Mike Stanley C
9. Rich Amaral LF
After hearing about the potential collaps of society as we know it, if the
original deal had gone through, Deadwood and Washington have re-worked their
deal.
Deadwood gets:
RF Tim Salmon
Washington gets:
RHP Hank Gill
1999 1st round FA Draft pick
2000 1st round Ammy pick
