Outlaws Stumbling, Lose 4th Straight Game

August 27, 1999

The McCoy Division leading Deadwood Outlaws lost it's third and fourth straight, falling 4 to 1 and 4 to 3 to Mississauga in a double header.

The Outlaws are now only four games up on second place Montreal.

INJURIES CONTINUE TO PLAGUE OUTLAWS

Rookie of the year candidate LF Brad Fullmer (pulled back muscle), 3B Scott Brosius (bruised heel), and SS Travis Fryman (tender shoulder) all are suffering from injuries suffered this week. All three have missed at least one game, but all are now back in the lineup, but are listed as day-to-day.

Meanwhile, RHP Jose Rijo (inflamed tricep tendon) has begun light workouts, however, he will not return until spring training. More then one club has inquired about the availability of the injured starter, but he is a favorite of GM Philip Raisor, and will be an Outlaw next season.

TRADE RUMORS

Raisor has been in discussions with more then one club about OF Rich Amaral. "He's definatly been the most asked about Outlaw when it comes to offers." It is rumored that a deal is on the table that would send Amaral and the Outlaw's first round Amateur Draft pick for a power hitting OF/DH type, however, both sides are looking at other possibilities.
