PVBL: Deadwood Outlaws
Draft Disaster

June 18, 1999

The Deadwood Outlaws' head scout, Jimmy Prestley (former MLB player), and the Outlaws' chief communications officer were fired early this morning after last night's draft disaster. After spending all evening waiting for the third round, Outaw GM Phil Raisor's War Room phone exploded, just minutes before the Outlaws were supposed to pick. "This was a disaster," said Raisor. "It's not that we didn't draft a player, that's bad enough, it's that I waited over two hours and didn't get to pick!" It is expected that Raisor himself will take over the scouting duties, while the CCO position will be filled externally.
