-Free Agent RHP, and former Outlaw, Billy Swift recently threw for Deadwood
pitching coach Gaylord Perry. Perry was impressed with Swift, but it has
not been decided if a contract will be offered. In other free agent news,
RHP Blondy Macullar has been offered a minor league contract by the Outlaws,
but has not yet agreed to terms. Macullar is apparently mulling over other
offers.
-Newly aquired LHP Alan Embree will take over the closer's job, at least
until RHP Hank Gil is recovered from his slight injury.
-The Outlaws enter tomorrow's draft with only a third round pick. GM Phil
Raisor is reportedly looking for a young middle infielder.
