PVBL: Deadwood Outlaws
Maddux Gets Another Strong Start

June 14, 1999

-RHP Greg Maddux started for Deadwood and pitched 7 innings, giving up 2 ER in the no decesion. This is Maddux's fourth straight strong outing, perhaps indicating that he is now fully recovered from last season's injury.

INJURIES:

-RHP Hank GIll (inflamed rotor cuff) is expected to miss up to a week of action. It is hoped that with some rest he will not have to be placed on the disabled list.
-3B Scott Brosius is playing with a bruised heel, and is day-to-day.
-RHP Billy Taylor (stretched ulnar nerve) is out until Mid-August.
-RHP Jose Rijo (inflamed tricep tendon) is likely out until Spring training.

TRADE TALKS:

-Talks with Vero Beach have apparently cooled concerning RHP Trevor Hoffman.
