Outlaws Win 6-4, Maintain 5-1/2 Game Lead June 6, 1999
-RF Eric Davis knocked two homers and RHP Todd Stottlemyre pitched seven
strong innings, as the Outlaws defeated Ann Arbor 6-4 in Michigan today.
-With both starting RHP Jose Rijo and stopper RHP Billy Taylor on the shelf
for the forseable future, Outlaws General Manager, Philip Raisor is in
search for some pitching help. "We've got two second round picks in the
upcoming Amateur Draft, I'd like to see what's available out there, and if
anyone is interested in doing a minor deal", said Raisor. Apparantly Raisor
isn't interested in making a major deal, but is looking for someone that
might add a little depth to the Outlaw's bullpen. "I think we can win with
what we've got, but it never hurts to have a little insurrance."
-Fans continue to flock to Hitchcock Stadium in record numbers. The Outlaws
are on pace to set a franchise record for attendence.
-LHP Jeff Fassero, who leads the team in wins with six, has been reinstated
to the starting rotation after working on some delivery problems in the
bullpen.
