It was well known that Mississauga owner Jesse Gouldson wanted to trade
Ariel Prieto. It was well known that Ariel Prieto wanted out of
Mississauga. Anchorage had a situation eerily similar. Nick Tulach
wanted to trade Felipe Lira, Lira wanted out of chilly Alaska.
"I think the deal took about 2 mintues to negociate. It went like this:
"Nick: You interested in Felipe Lira? Jesse: Yeah, do you like Ariel
Prieto? Nick: Yep. Jesse: Straight up? Nick: Sure." That was about it."
Gouldson said.
Their stats are very similar. Lira seems to have slightly better season
and career stats and is 24 compared to Prieto's 26. "We got a bit
younger. That's about it. I'm happy with the trade."
