PVBL: Mississauga Maple Dogs
Mississauga Keeps Dealing

July 15, 1999

Pending league approval the Mississauga Maple Dogs have traded Mike Metcalfe and Bob Autry to Richmond for Edgar Martinez.

"I know Edgar is a little on the old side, but he's going to replace Dave Nilsson until the season is over. Then he may stay, he may go. When you look at it Metcalfe was going to play behind Nomar and Rod Lewis. Then you have Autry who wasn't a huge sacrifice. I think we did good on this deal." Gouldson said after making the deal.

Once all the key Maple Dogs are healthy, which won't be until next year in Nilsson's case, they look to have one of the most powerful offenses in the PVBL.
