PVBL: Medina Mustangs
Mustangs Trounce Tucson

April 25, 1999

Medina (AP) - After struggling to a 5-12 start, the Medina Mustangs have finally put it all together, at least for one game. The Mustangs yesterday trounced division leader Tucson 11-0 in Tucson

Pete Harnisch (2-0) was masterful, throwing three hit ball over seven scoreless innings, while striking out three and walking none. Arthur Rhodes pitched the final two innings to preserve Medina's shutout.

"It must be the desert air" said Harnisch, " I think I heard the ball sing everytime I threw it."

John Wojick led the offensive onslaught with his first three homerun game of his career. Butch Huskey added his second home run of the season. Mike Cameron went 2-5 but added to his league leading strikeout total, reaching 17 strikeouts for the season.

"After that 20-4 blowout handed to us last week, it was nice to have everything click" said Mustang skipper Dick Chudnow, "Lets see if we can keep the ball rolling.

TRADEWINDS

No one is ever untouchable. The Mustangs actually got involved with trade dialogues with an unnamed team for Cameron, Cruz, AND Ochoa.
