PVBL: Moncton Moose
Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

September 11, 1999

Last week, in a Moncton Moose press release, several Moose players where quoted as being confident over their two wins against Washington. Many people believed this to be gloating, and not just confidence. Well Sea Dogs owner Aaron Weiner obviously read the article, because over the past two days he showed Moncton the best kind of revenge by beating them twice.

Washington beat the Moose 14 - 1 and 14 - 0 over the last two days. "It was the most humiliating start of my major league career" said starer Brian Bevil, who gave up 7 runs in .1 innings. In the thirsd game of the four game series, bevil beaned Lance Johnson during his short outing. "It was'nt retaliation for Devo injuring Mark Mulder, it just got away from me". In the fourth game, the Moose pitching faired no better. Starter Glendon Rusch gave up 8 runs in 1.1 innings. The leason to be learned here is let sleeping dogs lie.
