Follwing a trend that has become routine over the last few years in majoe league sports, the Moncton Moose(former Calgary Cowboys) are been sponsered by a multi million dollar organization in order to keep up with the high player salaries. Do not mistake this with unstable ownership, quite to the contrairy, this is a move to make sure the Moose will be here for a good long time by giving the team further stability.

So who is the sponser? Well for those of you familiar with Eastern Canada, ask yourself, whenever you are walking down the street, what do you see? During those long roadtrips, where do you stop? McDonalds, Dunkin Donoughts..?, not in the maritimes. The new sponser of the Moncton Moose is old faithfull, Tim Hortons doughnut shops. There are thousands of Tim Hortins in Eastern Canada, and just like the ex maple leaf with the same name, Tim Hortons is synonymous with winning and good buisness.

The Moose have also picked up a new team slogan in an attemp to get people out to the park, just like the Tim Hortons ads: you've always got time for Tim Horton's, and you've always got time for the Moose". The franchise has donated several million dollars to the league and have asked that the stadium be renamed "Tim Hortons Municipal stadium". Of course, Tim Horton dougnuts will be available at all concession stands. And as a special treat to the fans, very similar to the big red appple that pops up whenever a home run is hit at shea in New York, whenvever a home run is hit at Tim Horton Municipal stadium, a giant donught will be dunked into an even bigger coffee mug.
