Macon bids a fond farewell to their most productive player and one of
the few who have stayed with the franchise from day one, Mo Vaughn. He
is of to Hartford. In return, the Whoopie recieve, Aaron Sele, Damion
Easley, Todd Oquendo and Hartford's #1 ammy pick.
In what is suspected to be the last in a series of trades, the Macon Whoopie
sent Ed Sprague and Bernard Gilkey packing for Houston. In return, Macon
recieved the speedster, Marquiss Grissom and Houston's first round Free Agent
draft pick...Jose Oquendo said, "Well, I think I'm happy now. Unless
somebody wants to take DeShields off our hands. He just doesn't play second
base as well as I used to."
