The Hartford Whalers have sent power right-handed pitching prospect Steve
Tsamis to Anchorage in return for versatile SS Damion Easley. Easley is
expected to start at short for Tilson Brito until Kurt Abbott returns in
2-4 weeks. Tsamis is likely to be tested earlier in Anchorage than he
would have been in Hartford.
