PVBL: Hartford Whalers
Hartford Through With Trading, Sets Lineups

March 28, 1998

The Hartford Whalers have pulled the plug, temporarily, on all trades they had in the works and have named their Opening Day active roster and lineups. Of the decision, GM Peter Gammons stated, "We had quite a few deals in the works, including some big names. However, we feel balance and depth, especially in our pitching staff, will get us farther than thinning us out. Then again, depending on how the first couple of weeks go we may been on the horn again soon."
