PVBL: Tucson Border Patrol
Tucson Looking to Fill Holes

January 10, 1998

This was a disappointing season was for Tucson, who finished with the 4th worst record in the PVBL at 66-96. Despite this, owner/GM Scott Watterson remains upbeat. "We had a bad year, but we've assembled a pretty good team during this year. We brought some good young talent, and with the acquisition of Rondell White, I think we'll have a good team this year. We still need some bullpen depth, but our starting pitching looks very good. We've got 6 or 7 pitchers that could all start as a 3, 4, or 5 starter. Pettite and Benes will take the 1-2 spots, obviously, but we're still looking for real solid young pitcher to complement those guys."

"We're also looking for a superstar outfielder. We have several potentially excellent players available. I'm available for offers almost all the time, as I keep fairly constant track of my email. In my second job as a grad student in Computer Science, I am logged in most days."
