After examining many old news releases of other teams, the
owner of the Springfield Panthers has decided to change the team's
name. The addition of the Springfield Atoms, and the continued
accidental playing in the wrong state (stadium contract, already
fired the critter that made the contract), has lead the owner to
make a bold move to shake up his team and get them to play better
(better than 8-2 last 10 games?).
The owner believes that some of the loses could be a
result of playing in the stadium that was originially planned
to be the training facility. Even though the stadiums are
almost exactly alike, the owner believes that a winning advantage
could be found from playing in the actual original stadium.
The team is moving to Virginia and will assume
the name: Richmond Panthers. The stadium's name, for all
that are interested, is: Groveton National Stadium. The
team will continue wearing the same colors.
In keeping with the desire to change, the owner
has suggested that all players are available for trade.
And all future draft picks are also available.
