Pending league approval, the Deadwood Outlaws have sent RHP John Wetteland
to Washington for C Mike Stanley and RHP Hank Gill.
With the arrival of Stanley and Gill added to 1b Julio Franco and C Joe
Girardi (From a trade with Hartford earlier in the week), the Outlaws
appear to be done for the offseason. Deadwood GM Phil Raisor had this to
say: "Losing Tino Martinez in the supplemental draft hurt us, but
hopefully Stanley can help pick up the slack.
Unless Raisor gets a blockbuster offer he, apperantly, will not be looking
to make anymore changes. "Like everyone in the league, I'm always looking
for pitching, but I won't gut my offense. I think we're the best team in
the league, and we should make a strong run at the title this year."
