The Deadwood Outlaws have traded it's first round draft choice (19th
overall) to Galena for INF Chris Gomez.
Deadwood GM Phil Raisor on the trade: "We didn't really think we'd get a
major league quality player with the 19th pick, and Gomez is still young
enough [25 years old] that we think he could be our thirdbaseman of the
future."
Gomez is scheduled to report to AAA Dodge City in the next couple of
days.
