PVBL: Medina Mustangs
Medina Drafts Cameron, Bautista still missing

Febuary 14, 1998

MEDINA (AP)- The Medina Mustangs grabbed free agent right fielder Mike Cameron in the first round of the free agent draft. "It was very exciting to be part of our first ever free agent draft", said new team owner Randy Reese, "We think Mike will be able to contribute this year, although we will probably start him in Triple A Shelby."

In the second round the Mustangs drafted Danny Bautista, whom they released eariler into the draft pool. "There was some confusion, no doubt about it." says Reese " We are still not sure where he is. He left the stadium a little disappointed, but I dont think he threw himself into the Erie Canal. If he did, he wont be too hard to find, since the canal is drained."

The Mustangs are asking anyone who might have information on Bautista to please call the stadium. In the meantime, the promotions department is drawing up a "Where's Danny?" campaign and contest.
