Hartford, CT- According to sources close to Whalers GM Jeremy Chrabascz, major changes are in the works in the offseason. There are 10 or more Whalers reportedly marked for release and almost 5 others on the trading block. Also rumored are changes in the front office. Chrabascz has apparently been interviewing possible managers and GM's. It has been widely speculated that Chrabascz would no longer wear the hats of GM, Owner and Manager much longer. Our unconformed reports have put forth the following information:

3B Gary Baker, LF Derrick May, RF Carl Everett, CF Dan Taylor, RHP Carlos Castillo, RHP Robinson Checo, RHP Roy Hoffman, RHP John Hillman, RHP Mark Brandenburg and RHP Brian Boehringer

Rumored to be marked for trade:

SS Kurt Abbott, 1B Julio Franco, LF Joe Carter, C Joe Girardi, RHP Cal Eldred and RHP John Burke

Rumored to be going absolutely nowhere no matter what:

1B Geronimo Berroa, C Jason Kendall, 2B Adam Riggs, RF Socks Byrne, 3B Matt Williams, RHP Will Cunnane, RHP Kevin Millwood, RHP Brian Rose, LHP Tony Saunders

Rumored to be the front-running GM candidate: Dan Duquette

Rumored to be the front-running Manager candidates:
