The Whalers split two against Thunder Bay today. Rookie Will Cunnane recorded
his PVBL best 16th save and Tony Saunders (7-5) picked up a win, pitching 8
strong. With everyone else in the McCoy Division losing lately, the Whalers
have quietly climbed back into the race. Hartford is 51-60 and currently 7
games back of first-place Edmonton. They are also 3-1 since Chrabascz juggled
the batting order. Sanders, McRae, and Whiten have responded well.
Tradewinds
Hartford is reportedly shopping RHP Ken Hill (9-9) to contending clubs.
