Edmonton Oil King GM Brian Sculac has finally decided to listen to the fans
and the critics. All of last season he was blasted for not dealing for a
quality starting pitcher. It seems he's finally gotten the hint. " I really
thought we would be okay with what we have, but clearly that isn't the case.
I am officially putting Tim Salmon on the block. With RF Vladdie Guerrero
waiting in the wings for a shot in right, I feel the time is right for the
Oil Kings to make a move. We will only be looking for a star, quality
pitcher for Tim. Tim has been a super guy in this organization, and we will
be sad to see him go." With that, GM Sculac stormed out of the Press
Conference.
