Duluth, MN--Once deemed the "franchise player", "savior of the
northland", even given a 75 million $ contract over a decade, SS Alex
Rodriguez looked immovable. But it seems that sources close to GM Andy
Lund have informed us that a certain GM is making it VERY difficult to say
no. "We swapped proposals back and forth and at first I said no way, then
started playing with the idea, at this point in time if he decides to
agree on the current proposal, A-Rod is going to a contender", Lund had to
comment. Rodriguez is the games premire SS, future talent, maybe even
player of the game. At 92-86-52 he's arguable the best contact hitter in
the game, and with an 86 in power at age 19? Lets just say a 99-99 future
is very likely to be in this boy wonders future. He hit .344 40 HR and 123
RBI with an astounding 159 Runs Created. "He's a one man wrecking crew.",
commented Albert Belle. "This all is nice and good, but I'll believe it
when I see it...", stated first bagger John Jaha. Well Johnny boy, hate
to break it to ya, but Lund may make a believer out of all of us, possibly
rubbing the city of DUluth the wrong way in the process.
