After a long day of trading for Punxatawney and a total revamping of a ballclub which is currently the best team in baseball, the Groundhogs concluded with one final deal.
Catcher Mike Stanley, closer Randy Myers, and shortstop Norberto Martin were shipped off to Brooklyn in return for shortstop Jose Valentin, pitcher Bobby Thomas, and catcher Greg Myers.
This concluded a one-day major trading session for the Hogs. They have new faces now at both short, second, left, and throughout the rotation.
