-With the extension of the Trade deadline to Aug 31, Deadwood GM, Philip S. Raisor, (reportedly on orders from new owner Rush Limbaugh) has taken slugger Gary Sheffiled off the trading block. A possible deal had been in the works with Macon, but for now Sheffiled will remain an Outlaw.
-It is looking more and more likely that 3B Ken Caminiti will be available for the playoffs. He is healing at a surprising rate, and could conceivably be available Oct 1.
