(Deadwood, SD)...With a budget of over $61 Million dollars, the Deadwood Outlaws are on pace to lose over $80 Million this season.Ê
Team owner and C.E.O. Philip Raisor blames the loss on the economics of owning a small market franchise, and working at a shoe store.Ê In a press conference this afternoon, Raisor said, "I'm bringing in $400 bucks a week, I'm not really sure how I'm going to pay Sabo's contract (Sabo makes the league min. $150K), let alone [Randy] Johnson's 6.3 mill!"
When asked if he has any intention of selling the team Raisor replied, "Hell no!Ê All the players have agreed to defer their money until the end of the season.Ê On off days I'm going prospecting for gold and silver in the Black Hills, with any luck I'll hit the "Mother Load"!"
The following is a list of what each member of the Outlaws are making this season.Ê Players on the DL have been included, but those who have been in the minors the majority of the year have not...(Numbers courtsey of USA Today)
