TRADE NUMBER 1
FOr the third time in just over a day the Outlaws have made a trade. This time sending RHP Jeff D'Amico and RHP Turk Wendell to the Tucson Border Patrol for LHP Rheal Cormier and RHP Jason Schmidt. Cormier and Schmidt will immediatly be placed into the starting rotation, bumping Scott Aldred to long relief. In other Outlaw moves today, Mark Gardner and Bill Risley were both sent to AAA Billings and INF Jason Bates and the recently signed pinch hitting specalist, John Vander Wal were re-called The Outlaws are still taking offers for RF Raul Mondesi, but nothing immediate is expected to happen...
TRADE NUMBER 2
Deadwood and Phoenix have reached an agreement (pending league approval--I'm sure that Matt hates me by now) that will send RF Raul Mondesi to Phoenix for RF Garry Sheffield. Deadwood GM "Trader" Phil Raisor said,"When Phoenix suggested the trade, I figured, what the hell..." Sheffield has a .403 average 15 homers, 36 rbi in 134 at bats, while Mondesi has a line of .407 15 and 44 rbi in 150 at bats.
