"Untouchable" on the trading block

After the Larimer Knights swept the Monday doubleheader versus the Washington Sea Dogs at XRAY Arena in Providence, just 20 miles from team owner John Dybala's hometown of North Kingstown, RI, the owner made an announcement which is expected to jump-start trade talks with several teams. Apparently, the injury to Chris Hoiles cost him more than a month out of action. It may have cost him his job with the team. Hoiles will be eligible to come off the DL next week, but with Curry Powell, Hector Villanueva, and third-string catcher Paul Sorrento at manager Don Baylor's disposal, and Powell having more than proven his worth as a catcher in Hoiles's absence, the once-untouchable catcher/1B has been placed on the trading block. Word is that Dybala seeks solid relief pitching and some power in return.
