The Hartford Whalers have completed the following transactions:
DEMOTED to AAA, indefinitely-- LF Tom Brunansky, 2B Harold Reynolds
PROMOTED to PVBL immediately-- 2B Howie Paulette, to tryout for the shortstop position...will play asap and will be leadoff 3B Steve Beuchele, to DH immediately.
RUMORS-- In an attempt to boost recently poor run production, the Hartford Whalers are attempting to complete a trade with Galena for veteran infielder, Terry Pendleton. Pendleton is currently listed as day-to-day but could DH immediately for Hartford given the opportunity. Hartford is rumored as sending a pitching prospect or player to be named later to Galena for Pendleton. We'll keep you posted.
